"All the reviews about how this is a statement on the hostile nature of humanity is complete bullcrap, and only distracts people from understanding what the true statement this game makes: those who live for others are the ones who are truly immortal."
i second this statement. Hit it right on the head there. You live on through those whose lives you affect.
a great game with a great design marred by having to repeat it from the start every time. Its not like you can breeze through to where you were before, because these are count-down missions. Checkpoints or saves would be much appreciated.
7/10 because i see a lot of potential, but you need to seriously tweak this. I'm a huge fan of classic shooters and the controls here need a lot of tightening up.
1) Too much post drift leads to accidental collisions. Just lower it and you're gravy.
2) I know certain ship explosions can hurt you too, but you should change the animation of the debris anyway.
3) different levels of the charge shot would be great.
2. All of the bullets are white with a black outline. Other then running into ships and dying by laser, and getting hit by missles this is the ONLY thing that can hurt you. White on black is one of the best ways I know how to contrast an item, other then making it bigger. And I don't want to make it bigger because I also got comments about not being able to dodge them. I need to go back and rework a lot of things :(
i am beginning to wonder if anyone noticed the twitching hamster on the lower right, and the bloody hammer lying next to it. Obviously the real world stand in for the Not So Awesome monster. Hahaha.
the only reason i gave it a 9 instead of a 10 was because it was very easy to just blockade yourself in the 2nd garage using the car. Took the fun out of going out as there was no reason to force the player outside. The car was just indestructable and all you had to do was sit there and collect the $$.
Anyways, can't wait to see what you got for a sequel. If you're taking suggestions, make the driving a little easier, increase the size of the game screen, and have movable, damageable barriers!
I really do like where you're going with this. I'd focus more on streamlining it though. Check out Endless Zombie Rampage for their level of polish, then run with your ideas.
for one thing, why don't you have barriers you can pick up and move ? different maps?

loved it, buuuut:
you reaaaally need to work on pacing. Make some of the beats faster and tighter and you have perfection. Otherwise, GREAT job!!! Deserves front page
